When In Rome ...

Outfit No. 1

I just came back from a perfect city break in the beautiful, ancient city of Rome. Every corner we passed there seemed to be a new site waiting for us to discover! We had 3 days to visit all of the landmarks and of course our first stop was the Colosseum...

The Colosseum never fails to disappoint. This was my second time visiting this truly breathtaking arena and it was still equally as overwhelming. The architecture and scale of the arena is as fascinating as the incredible history that it represents. With a little imagination it is truly mesmerising to picture it in its former glory complete with marble and gladiators awaiting their battles.

We entered the Colosseum through the Forum entrance where we witnessed some of the incredibly well maintained archways and temples still standing today. This archway provided a perfect view through to the chariots perfectly placed on top of the Altare della Patria building.

My Outfit:

Playsuit - Next
Handbag - Fiorelli
Shoes - Vans (There is a lot of walking to be done in Rome, so comfy shoes were a must!)

Jewellery:
Watch - Storm London
Bracelet - Links of London

(I also used hair ties from Invisibobble on the trip and they did an incredible job at keeping my hair up in the sweltering heat!)
